The Sun Princess is the largest ship in their fleet and the first ship in the new Sphere Class and I'll admit I was curious how it would feel to cruise with so many guests. But let me tell you the service was absolutely superb! From embarkation (best I have EVER experienced to the last day, we NEVER waited for a thing! Lines? Nonexistent. Crowds? You would never know you were on such a large vessel. Everything flowed smoothly, making for a truly relaxing vacation.
Dining on board was such a highlight. We had all bought the Princess Premiere Package when we booked our cruise (which I highly recommend) It included 4 wifi devices, unlimited premium drinks (Up to $20 per drink), gratuities, unlimited specialty dining and many more perks!
Our very favourite restaurants were Crown Grill, so good we ate there twice. The Nolan Ryan dry aged rib eye was spectacular! Catch by Rudy had elegant seafood dishes that were as beautiful as they were delicious. My recommendation would be the whole Dover sole which is filleted table side by the staff. Sabatini's was authentic flavours with a modern twist. Every meal was wonderful, we all shared one night but I cannot stop thinking about the Pasta al Limone!! Love by Britto is now included in the Premiere Package. A vibrant art inspired dining adventure that surprised us with all the touches of love.

We traveled as a group and have five balcony cabins in a row. We opened our dividers between the balconies to enjoy a coffee together in the morning to share the stunning views or a night cap in the evenings. It turned our individual space into one long shared space. The sixth couple stayed in a mini cabana suite which was fabulous with a blend of interior and exterior living space with a separate sitting area, balcony and private cabana area. We spent an afternoon enjoying their private hot tub which felt like our own little spa at sea.
Speaking of spas….we didn't just visit the Lotus Spa, we all became regulars! Massages, facials, blow outs, IV therapy and an afternoon in the relaxing thermal suite. Every treatment was a delight and the service was top notch and consistent.
The pools on the Sun Princess were the best! The infinity pool at the back of the ship stole the show! It was the perfect place to unwind with a cocktail, watch the sunset or take in the panoramic sea views.
Of course, these are just a few of the highlights from our cruise. From start to finish everything from the dining, accommodations, room service, entertainment…silent disco was so much fun! Everything was truly spectacular.

This was a Mediterranean cruise and while I could go on about the beautiful ports of call, I will save that for another blog. Stay tuned for my next post where I will share tips and highlights from our unforgettable on shore adventures!
